1. Who we are

Summer Laundry (Coral Bells, A115) provides laundry pickup, cleaning, and delivery services. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or book with us, and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

• Name, phone number, and email address
• Pickup and delivery address, including apartment and house number
• Account login details (email and password, or your Google account if you sign in with Google)
• Order history, service selections, and weight/price confirmed at pickup
• Student or business status, where you tell us this to apply a discount
• Any review you choose to leave
• Basic technical information needed to keep you signed in (see Cookies & local storage below)

3. How we use it

We use your information to:

• Schedule and carry out pickup and delivery of your laundry
• Calculate pricing, including any discount you qualify for
• Send order, account, and delivery notifications by email
• Pre-fill your details on future bookings so you don't have to retype them
• Respond to questions you send us by phone, WhatsApp, or email

We only send you marketing messages if you've opted in, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run Summer Laundry:

• Supabase, which securely hosts our database and handles account sign-in
• Google, for address lookup/maps and Google Sign-In, if you choose to use it
• Resend, which delivers our order and account emails

5. Cookies & local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to automatically sign you out after a period of inactivity, for your account's security. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active, and afterward for as long as reasonably needed for our business and financial records.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing support@summerlaundry.app. You can also exercise your rights under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, including by contacting the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
